first please welcome our newest member this week,  OfGermanBlood








Well --- now that we've had a little fun rockin' it with teh hermie knowledges,  ((thank you sooo much for all your participation!))  howsabout spending a little time getting to know each other?

So - by popular request,  its time for some member features :^^  





I figured the fairest thing to do, was start with the two winners of last months herm trivia challenge - Maru-sha and Vivienne-Mercier. ^^   A great many of you participated, and I can't even tell you how happy that made me -- however, these two members *were* the first to actually comment the club with their correct answer ^^  GreenChikin also gets to start out our feature series,  as she was one of the first to submit to the club.  ^^
Thanks and good job to *everyone* who played last month trivia games ^^ more to come ^^

About the features: unless you have won something, I will be picking people AT RANDOM for features!  I really can't tell just from looking if you are an active member or not, so if you are an older member and want to be featured - it will help me if you display the club stamp or icon somewhere on your page!   (or note, or submit something)  I *won't* exclude anyone if they don't do those things, but, it will help me know you want to participate!





So without further adeiu here is a feature from Maru-sha's fun gallery ^^ including a picture of her crab Sasuke, in his comfy new shell, skyping it up with some other crabs, most likely ^^ and a poem she wrote about him.  Meet Maru-sha!

How long had I been captive?
It felt like years
Days of people stopping to stare at me
Pointing and fawning
Was I really as cute as they said?
I was beginning to feel mindless
In my sweltering prison with several others
I had to escape, I was going insane
The day I planned to make an attempt,
I was caught...
Ducking into my shell made no difference
I was packaged up and sent off with a stranger
All was unfamiliar
Was this my final hour?
I scuttle around, fear pulsing in my cold veins
Warm hands pick me up and place me
Not into the arms of death,
But into another glass prison
The cycle is restarting?
Was the fabled heaven like this?
Or is this hell?
Wait, I smell...something sweet?
I hear calm voices fawning over me
I’m given food and stokes to my shell
No longer am I a prisoner
But only a small step down
I am...a pet
